British Wheelchair Basketball

Earlier this year, I travelled to Nottingham as an advertising photographer and sports photographer to shoot this series for British Wheelchair Basketball.

Working with an incredible group of athletes, I set up a simple, controlled studio environment that allowed their strength, focus, and individuality to shine. Using clean lighting and neutral backdrops, we highlighted both the precision of their custom sports wheelchairs and the quiet intensity each athlete brought to set.

The project was a powerful reminder of how sport can be visually and emotionally compelling, and it was an honour to capture these moments for a sport that deserves the spotlight.

Photography Awards Judge

I’m excited to be part of the judging panel for this year’s Annual Photography Awards. It’s a real privilege to help celebrate and champion great photography from across the globe.

As someone who specialises in lifestyle photography, advertising photography and sports photography, I’m especially looking forward to seeing how photographers are pushing boundaries in these areas - whether that’s through bold visual storytelling, striking composition or just something refreshingly unexpected.

Can’t wait to dive into the entries. Good luck to everyone submitting!

images used in Blink Winkel

Very pleased to see my Candy Men series featured as the lead story in Blink Winkel – Germany’s finest photography magazine.

Huge thanks to the editorial team for the beautiful showcase. Always an honour to have work appear in a publication that treats image-making with such care and craft – even when the images involve men covered in neon sugar. As a lifestyle photographer its great to get the work out there to new eyes.

…and in true Blink Winkel style here is the text also in German.

Nobu - London Sushi Club

As a lifestyle photographer, I get to meet some incredible people—and spending the day with Chef Nobu was a real highlight. He’s calm, warm, and carries this quiet confidence that’s hard to miss.

This shoot wasn’t really about food - it was about capturing the person behind the legend. The little moments of focus, the way he interacts with people, the stillness between it all. A rare chance to photograph someone so iconic, in such a relaxed and personal way.

Spear's Magazine

Pleased to share the latest cover I shot for Spear’s magazine—an image that delves into the world of extreme wealth and the advisors who guide it.

The brief called for something both sharp and cinematic: a modern roundtable of power players, each representing the calm authority and precision that high-net-worth advising demands. As a lifestyle photographer, I’m always looking for that blend of personality and environment—how people sit, interact, and hold space. This shoot was all about controlled presence and subtle storytelling.

We worked with natural light flooding in from the tall windows of a grand London location, keeping the palette restrained and letting body language do the talking. Massive thanks to the Spear’s editorial team for the trust and collaboration on this one.

Frankie Dettori for Dubai Italia Experiences Magazine

Delighted to share this bold and energetic cover image of legendary jockey Frankie Dettori, used here by Dubai Italia Experiences edition by Khaleej Times. As a sports portrait photographer, capturing Frankie’s iconic personality and explosive energy was a real pleasure—this was a man who brought it all to the frame.

This shoot sits at the intersection of my passions as both an advertising photographer and someone who thrives on telling stories through visually striking portraits. With Frankie in full racing colours, the image channels the dynamism and charisma of a sporting icon while also fitting seamlessly within a high-end editorial and luxury travel publication.

Whether it’s world-class athletes or global brands, I’m always looking to create imagery that feels alive, purposeful and unforgettable.

Eubank Jr vs Benn: boxing match promo key art

Just wrapped a killer shoot for the Key Art on the upcoming Conor Benn vs Eubank Jr boxing fight. We shot across Spain and Dubai – two wildly different locations, but the goal was the same: keep the lighting seamless and the energy high.

As a sports advertising photographer, this was a dream gig. Big names, big stakes, big drama. The challenge? Matching looks across thousands of miles and totally different spaces.

The images will be used across all aspects of promotion for the fight – posters, digital, broadcast, you name it. This bout is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about in decades. The hype kicked off early – if you missed the launch press conference where Eubank slapped Benn with an egg (yes, really), check out the chaos here via BBC.

Below is the key art, a few images of Benn I partially like and some behind the scenes.

NEOM - Sindalah - Lifestyle

Ten days, endless commutes, and an ambitious vision—this was one of the most unique lifestyle shoots I’ve worked on.

I recently spent time photographing Singlaha island, part of the NEOM project in Saudi Arabia. You’ve probably heard of NEOM in connection with The Line, the futuristic mirrored city being built in the desert. But Singlaha is something different—a 200-acre island designed as a global destination for the yachting community, with 86 superyacht berths, 440 rooms, 88 villas, and 218 luxury serviced apartments. Not to mention restaurants led by Michelin-starred chefs and every amenity you’d expect from a high-end resort.

These lifestyle images will form the launch assets to this unique project.

Behind The Scenes - NEOM

Here is a little behind the scenes peek into the making of lifestyle images for NEOM. NEOM’s ‘The Line’ is that huge mirrored mega city they are building out in the desert - Sindalah however is the sister project (one of four that make up the total NEOM development) a reclaimed island in the Red Sea.

This was a ten day trip in total - the island was just readying for its official opening so was a hive of activity. Below are some behind the scenes images which I hope give an insight into how a shoot like this comes together. A huge team effort. You can see the final set of images HERE

Vue Cinema - lifestlye shoot

Some work here shot for Vue Cinemas. Shooting at their Islington cinema in an extremely tight window before opening hours. We captured all aspects of the experience for the brand to use across their platforms…Vue operates cinemas in the UK and Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and the Netherlands with nearly 2000 screens. As a lifestyle photographer it was a great working with these families - feeding children buckets of pick & mix, icecream and popcorn at 8am created a very calm and relaxed atmosphere as I'm sure you can imagine.

Formula e

As the excitement built for the 2023/24 Formula E season, I had the incredible opportunity to shoot the talented drivers in the vibrant setting of Valencia, Spain. My mission was clear: to capture the unique personalities behind the helmets, allowing fans to connect with them as individuals.

In a sport defined by speed and precision, I wanted to highlight the character traits that set each driver apart.

From playful moments to intense reflections, I captured a diverse range of emotions that these drivers experience both on and off the track. Here are some of the final artworks that were used globally at race venues including Mexico, Miami, Berlin and Jakarta.

We turned a large warehouse space into a studio to facilitate the shoot close to the testing track. There are also some behind the scene images too. As a sports portrait photographer this was a dream commission!

Qatar - Private Jets

Ever wondered what goes into capturing the allure of private jets? I recently shot for Qatar Executive, the private jet division of Qatar Airways, and it was a fascinating experience.

We were on location in Doha, Qatar. Lighting played a crucial role. We wanted the interiors to shine, illuminating at the opulence within. Our models, reflecting the airline's clientele, exuded elegance and sophistication.

My goal as a lifestyle photographer was to merge the brand's image with a sense of realism. We weren't just selling a plane; we were selling an experience. So, take a look behind the scenes and get a glimpse into the world of private jet travel, Qatar Executive style.

Man City / OKX

Excited to share some new images I captured for Manchester City, featuring none other than Pep Guardiola, Jack Grealish, Alex Greenwood, Ruben Dias and Ederson. As a sports portrait photographer, to get these faces in front of the camera was obviously dreamy.

This shoot was part of the 'My Fabric' campaign for OKX, one of the club’s main shirt sponsors as the football club rolled out its new kit ahead of the new season.

Shooting across multiple days but working within the very tight confines of - as ever -  very limited time and space. The focus of the shoot was to showcase the synergy between the cutting-edge innovation of OKX and the world-class talent of Manchester City.

A few of the final images are below.

Harvard Business School

Harvard Business School recently commissioned me to photograph Pano Christou, CEO of Pret A Manger. Christou joined Pret in 2000, starting as a night shift worker at the Carnaby Street shop in London's Soho. Focused on excelling at his job, he was soon promoted to assistant general manager. Over the years, he climbed the ranks, becoming CEO in 2019.

Food Food food (and drinks)

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with  exclusive dining club Sera on a whole host of imagery as they launched in London. Known for their intimate and exquisite food events, showcasing world-renowned chefs, restaurants and exclusive culinary experiences.

One standout event transformed two Michelin star Kitchen Table’s dining experience for Sera members who experience a 12-course tasting menu. The work has taken me to Tom Browns Cornerstone in Hackney, Dorian in Notting Hill and Acme Fire Cult in Dalston.

Working with Sera has been about more than documenting food; it’s about telling the story of human connection through exceptional cuisine the perfect subject for my lifestyle photography

Native Instruments

Some new work for music technology brand Native Instruments. Shooting in East London we showcased how musicians recording at home can integrate the brand’s cutting-edge tools into their creative processes whilst bringing a human touch; showcasing real-life interactions with the products into these lifestyle images.

Selling a lifestyle that blends creativity and technology. This collaboration not only highlights Native Instruments’ innovative products but also connects with the audience on an emotional level, portraying the essence of modern music creation. You can see the full set HERE

Cape Town - Reflections

Recent shoot in Cape town…well, West of Cape Town to be precise, in the rolling sand dunes that dot the area inland from the coast. Sometimes you get an idea in your head and for this one I just wanted to build a huge massive mirror box.

The sand dunes are protected from an environmental perspective so shooting on them comes with a number of restrictions and safeguards to ensure nature is protected. Shifting a huge and heavy box of mirrors around also involves jumping over some rather large logistical hurdles, including using specialist sand vehicles to move around the undulating dunes.

The wind on the southern cape can be fierce, so we shot at first light before the breeze had time to pick up. I wanted to create lifestyle images with an edge. A nod to tech, a nod to fashion but most importantly just something that stopped people in their tracks. The interplay between the blue of the sky, reflected in the mirror and the blue styling palette.

I have included a few from the final set and behind the scenes below. You can see the full lifestyle set HERE.

Business Wales

Ever tried to set up a boxing ring on-top of a Welsh mountain during a weather warning for an advertising photography shoot? You haven't lived.

Shot for Business Wales at a number of locations across Wales…from aforementioned windy rain soaked hilltops to rather more pleasant restaurants in Cardiff.

The aim of the advertising shoot was to promote the range of help offered by the Welsh government to the full spectrum of businesses sectors that operate in the country.

Award Win

Last year I was named Food Photographer of the Year for my work on candy floss sellers in India at the Pink Lady Awards. Here are just some of the over 170 articles and press pieces featuring the work. Everything from The BBC, Der Standard, TimeOut to Bored Panda. Kudos to the food awards team. Lovely to win this award, even more pleasing when I consider myself an advertising and lifestyle photographer rather than a food photographer.

Drinks Photography

Some new drinks photography shot in sunny Cape Town. With these lifestyle images I wanted to capture some real moments of connection. With these sorts of shoots it's all about setting the stage and bringing the right mood to set so people are genuinely relaxed and having fun. You can’t fake it. We shot on a rooftop as the sun went down so we had all those lovely warm hues; sundowner, sunset colors to play with.

The window of shooting was tight as that sun sets faster than you would have imagined. We shot big spritz glasses and used some hard shadow lines to add interest and shape. Keeping the drinks looking at their very best is a key challenge in the heat. Ice, ice and more ice.

As a lifestyle photographer shooting drinks you can’t really ask for more than what Cape Town has to offer.
