Too Good To Go

I love working for purpose driven brands and none come with greater ambition than Too Good To Go. The company matches consumers with restaurants and grocery stores to sell unsold food.

A technology company at heart, it operates across Europe and North America to tackle the enormous issue of food waste. Up until this point a lot of stock imagery had been used, leading to a fragmented style. We shot a bespoke collection of images and video to place the consumer at the heart.

Working with their wonderful in-house team, we shot in London. Creating lifestyle photography assets with a fresh spring feel (despite shooting in London in March) to serve their consumers in a wide range of territories.

Shallow

I was in the studio recently just adding some image to the portfolio. I had an oldish image (the man in glasses) and wanted to create a slightly wider set around that style. Shooting ultra shallow at f1.2 and using continuous lighting to get a very specific look and feel. As a portrait photographer its vital to always find some time to play and experiment - you don’t get much time to do that on commissioned shoots.

Tag Heuar - George Bamford

Recent shoot for Tag Heuer to promote their newly launched Aquaracer Bamford Limited edition. Designed by George Bamford of the Bamford Watch Department we shot a series of images in West London using design elements of the watch - such as the neon orange. As a commercial photographer it was great to work with a brand with Tag Heuer’s prestige and heritage.

COUPA

A recent shoot for Coupa of their CEO Rob Bernshteyn. Coupa Software is a global technology platform for business spend management. The company is headquartered in San Mateo, California with offices throughout the Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Rob is the perfect subject for any portrait photographer.

Singapore’s CIO

Recent shoot with Singapore’s CIO, Chan Cheow Hoe - shot for Fujitsu. The veteran of Citibank, Barclays, ABN AMRO and CT Corporation set about building digital capability in a government technology organization that had largely outsourced its technology needs. As a commercial photographer Chan proved to be a fascinating subject.

Cundall - Image Library

A recent commission from international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Cundall. Cundall currently operates in the UK, Australia, Asia, MENA, and Europe.  We produced a small image library of assets showcasing staff at work and play at their London office. Their office was bright, modern and spacious allowing me to a wide range of images as a commercial photographer.

Third Sector Awards.

A recent commission to produce the key visual identity to this year’s Third Sector Awards. The awards highlight all the amazing work done by those working for charities.

We used a light painting technique to capture a series of portraits of previous winners -  all done in camera. Below is the first released press advert, a timelapse of the shoot and some other shots that will be rolled out across a range of assets in coming months. It was great working as an advertising photographer for such an important cause.

Orange, France

I recently went over to Paris to shoot for Orange. The feature was on a startup called Foodles, which delivers fresh food every morning into ‘smart’ fridges that can be purchased by businesses for their staff. We spent a day at Foodle’s HQ and shot images showing all aspects of their business operation. We used people from the company on the shoot, including the CEO. As a lifestyle photographer the companies HQ provided a great space to achive some wonderful clean images.

The Prime Minister

I was recently asked to photograph the Prime Minister, Theresa May at 10 Downing Street. A tricky shoot from the outset. I presumed time would be tight: details their end were at best vague.

Access was heavily restricted so it was just me and whatever I could carry. Time was tight; very tight; three minutes from first to last frame. As a portrait photographer I’m used to working fast and this was a real test of that skill.
