05 / Behind the scenes
Inside the
restaurant.
The stills were shot alongside the TV commercial, in a real Popeyes restaurant with the same talent. Booths, tables and the space around the film production shaped how we could work.
Lighting and direction had to come together within those constraints. The actors’ reactions were just as important as the glow: a little surprise, a little curiosity, and that unmistakable “wow”.

Small, powerful lights fitted into a compact cardboard prop.
A golden glow balanced against teal light around the subjects.
Working with the actors to make each reaction feel convincing.

Popeyes / Advertising campaign
Love
that glow.
Advertising campaign photography for Popeyes, captured by London advertising photographer Jon Enoch. A glowing chicken box. A moment of wonder. And a very real restaurant.

01 / The idea
A little box.
A big reaction.
The campaign turned “Love that chicken from Popeyes” into a visual moment: opening the box feels like discovering something extraordinary.
The stills needed to hold that feeling in a single frame — the warm glow, the food and, above all, the look of awe on the actors’ faces.

02 / Making the box glow
Small lights.
Big atmosphere.
Compact, powerful lights — almost matchbox-sized — were fitted inside the box. Its small size and flimsy construction made positioning them a challenge.
External lighting picked out the actors and added a cool teal wash around the room. Against that cooler setting, the warm light from the box became the centre of attention. Post-production brought the final look together.
03 / The finished campaign
From the set
to the artwork.
The final photography brings character, appetite and atmosphere together, with the glowing box carrying the idea into the finished advertising.

04 / Stills in motion
A taste of
the campaign.
A short motion treatment of the finished food image, carrying the same warm glow into a vertical format.
