True athletes move differently. In a studio, an ever-changing cast brought the movements of their own sports into the frame. As a sports photographer based in London, I wanted that physical confidence to remain visible in each still.
From a catch to a hand-off, timing and body position tell the story.

The studio keeps the attention on the athlete: a guard raised, a leap, the tension between two bodies. Directional light gives the series its gritty character, with little post-production between the performance and the finished image.
Action and portraiture share the same stripped-back studio language.
