The Mission

A series of personal portraits shot of passers by on the streets of ‘The Mission', a neighbourhood in San Francisco. The area has become home to the left leaning dot com generation - displacing the original Latino residents. It’s full of cafes, shops and art galleries which play host to a very eclectic mix of people. There were some great faces as a portrait photographer I was spoiled for choice.

Evelyn Stevenson & Corinne Evans

Here are two previously unpublished sports portaits of weightlifter Evelyn Stevenson and surfer Corinne Evans, shot for Sport magazine. The image of Corinne was taken at Big Sky looking back towards central London. Sad news that Sport magazine has closed. They really were great people to shoot for.

Jackson & Levine

This image of Laura Jackson and Alice Levine was recently used in Stylist. It’s been over three years since they started their Supper Club and have since written food columns for Company and Elle.com, and have a cookbook due out in 2017. When they’re not cooking, Levine can be heard on Radio 1, whilst Jackson presents ITV’s Take Me Out: The Gossip. There shared flat off the Kingsland Road was a great space for this lifestyle shoot.

Fashion and Beauty

I have recently been working with 4 of the biggest fashion and beauty bloggers in partnership with leading cosmetic surgery firm Transform.

We produced all aspects of the shoot in-house from styling to location scouting.

“This is a significant and groundbreaking campaign not only for us but for the UK cosmetic surgery industry, ” said Steven Taylor, marketing director at Transform.

We shot at a location house in North London, producing an entire suite of lifestyle imagery.

Brussels, Bucharest and Budapest

A recent commission that involved three location shoots in Brussels, Bucharest and Budapest. Exploring the rapidly expanding street truck food scene. Food trucks are rapidly challenging more traditional restaurants and are fast becoming the logical step for young chefs wanting autonomy and creative control. As we were shooting out of season for the coming summer months a huge thanks to all those who willingly took part. Trying to capture summer images in the depths of winter is always a challenge but with the right lighting and logistics something that can be achieved. Whilst the trucks themselves were wonderful it was the people I really enjoyed shooting - producing a lovely set of lifestyle images.

Ella Woodward for You Magazine

A recent cover shoot for You Magazine with leading health food blogger Ella Woodward aka Deliciously Ella. Shot at The Worx in West London. Her blog receives 6 million hits a month and she has 400,000 followers on Instagram. The main reason for Deliciously Ella’s success is Woodward’s own story: she suffered frompostural tachycardia syndrome,  which can cause debilitating dizziness and blurred vision. She was laid up in bed for almost a year and says her change in diet – along with exercise – has been key to her recovery. Ella was great to shoot - as a lifestyle photographer you couldn’t ask for more from a subject.

Miami's Answer To Forrest Gump?

On a recent shoot in Miami I came across Robert 'Raven' Kraft. He has been running on Miami beach every day since the 1st of January 1975. Every day, without fail. He now attracts a small group of followers who join him in his daily jaunt. Robert keeps meticulous records and 2431 runners have joined him so far from 81 Countries. They all get a unique nickname which he shouts out as he introduces everyone as they set off.  A lovely find, run by Norwegian and Air Berlin. As a lifestyle photographer it always amazes me that you can just stumble across these stories.

Miami - Little Haiti

A recent commission to shoot this in-depth travel feature on Little Haiti, Miami. The people focused spread looks at the characters of this emerging neighbourhood and its links to the visual arts scene. I spent a week in Miami shooting for Air Berlin. Little Haiti is well off the usual tourist route, as a lifestyle photographer it was a real privilege to get to know it and shoot this series as a lfe

Jamie Oliver

A recent shoot with the naked chef aka Jamie Oliver at his Old Street, London, HQ. Shot for Timeout. Jamie has launched Food Tube Magazine which will appear as an inserted section in Timeout. We shot first thing in the morning...after Jamie had finished eating his huevos rancheros. A lovely lifestyle shoot in central London.

Le Comptoir Général

I was recently commissioned to travel to France to shoot this quirky lifestyle travel feature on Le Comptoir Général in Paris. The LCG, as it is known, is run like a department store, with concessions operated by an eclectic bunch of traders. Most of the staff have links with Africa, cross-continental characters who effortlessly mix what they term ‘ghetto cool’ from homelands like Morocco or Togo with Parisian flair to create the kind of edgy street style spotted in New York or London but rarely seen in France’s highly polished capital. Here a a few of the characters I met.
