This image forms part of an ongoing series. Shot at Holborn studios, the aim was to explore the link between body and mind.
Here’s a short video offering a glimpse of my portfolio. Shout if you would like to see it in person!
This is an image of singer/songwriter Jehnny Beth, lead singer and lyricist for rock band Savages. The photo was shot in Hackney, using a narrow depth of field to draw the viewer into the front eye.
On her music Jehnny says “artists are creating ‘the world exactly as it should be’. That is the real power of the artists, and I believe in this power.”
I was asked to take some portrait images of Sir David Philip Tweedie, the ninetieth member of Ohio State University’s prestigious Accounting Hall of Fame.
Sir David was knighted in 1994 and has honorary degrees from seven universities in the UK.
This image was shot in the City of London at Instinctif Partners offices.
Pleased to say that my portrait image of Ronnie will be used in his debut fiction crime novel, Framed, published by Orion and out in November this year. The book promises to transport readers to the sordid underworld of 1980’s Soho, full of mobsters, killers and corruption. Sounds intriguing!
This shoot for Investec took place at The Hari Hotel in West London. We shot using Investec staff; it was important to try to capture their personality and individuality in the photos, yet still maintain cohesion. The stylist met with each person before the shoot to make sure the overall look and feel was the same. Logistically, using a public space such as a hotel comes with its own challenges, but a reccy beforehand to focus on a few specific spots helped get the shoot moving.
The images will be used both above and below the line, across all of Investec’s assets.
